That's why we only use natural fragrances.

The scent of cosmetic products is often an important factor for many people when choosing which products to use. The debate about which is better - synthetic or natural fragrances - has been going on for many years. Both sides have their advantages and disadvantages. Some people prefer synthetic fragrances because they are cheaper and last longer. Others prefer natural fragrances because they smell real and luxurious, and are considered safer and gentler on the skin.

Synthetic vs. Natural Fragrance: What's the Difference?

When it comes to fragrance, there are two main varieties - natural and synthetic. Natural fragrances are derived from essential oils and plant extracts, and are generally considered safer and gentler on the skin than synthetic fragrances. They are also considered more environmentally friendly and generally better for your health. On the other hand, they can be more expensive and cause allergic reactions in some people. Synthetic fragrances are made from chemicals that mimic a natural scent, and are made in laboratories from chemicals extracted from petroleum or wood from the paper industry. They are usually cheaper than natural fragrances and have a longer shelf life, but they can cause headaches and dizziness. Some of these synthetic chemicals can also be endocrine disruptors and carcinogens.

What is used in Elm Organics products?

In all Elm Organics products we only use fragrances that are 100% natural in origin. The fragrance of Elm is made from molecules found in essential oils , but each molecule is isolated (Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool – these are not essential oils themselves, but natural components found in essential oils). The different molecules are then mixed together to create a fragrance note. Different fragrance notes are then mixed together to create a fragrance. This is considered free of essential oils.

Limonene is a common fragrance found in citrus oils such as orange, lemon, and grapefruit. It is also present in a number of other plants, including fir, lemon balm, and rosemary. Limonene is often used in cosmetics for its fresh, fruity, and invigorating scent, and it is also believed to have antibacterial properties.

Geraniol is a fragrance found in geranium oil and other essential oils. It has a floral, sweet, and spicy scent that is often used in perfumes, soaps, and other cosmetic products. Geraniol is also known to have antibacterial properties and can have a soothing effect on the skin.

Linalool is a fragrance found in lavender oil and many other plants, including lemon and coriander. It has a fresh, floral scent and is often used in cosmetic products for its relaxing and soothing effect on the skin. Linalool is also known to have anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce swelling and redness on the skin.
